Currency pairs in two groups: majors from 0.0 pips at up to 1:2000, and crosses from 0.3 pips at up to 1:2000.

A currency trade is always a pair. In EUR/USD the euro is the base currency, always equal to 1, and the US dollar is the quote currency, which tells you what the base is worth. Buy the pair if you think the euro will rise against the dollar; sell it if you think it will fall.

Major pairs

The most traded pairs in the world. They always include the US dollar, and usually have the most activity and the tightest spreads.

Commission is 7 US dollars per lot on a Raw account and nothing on Standard or Swap Free. The forex conditions table publishes a margin call at 50% and a stop out at 20%. The stop out set for your account type is 30% on Standard and Raw and 20% on Swap Free. See Margin call and stop out.

Hours and overnight fees

Forex trades 24/5. The busiest window is when London and New York are both open, and that is where you usually find the tightest spreads. Triple swap on forex falls on Wednesday night. See Market opening times.
