Tradin offers a variety of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) security types to provide enhanced protection for your account. MFA requires more than one credential to sign in, significantly strengthening security and helping to prevent unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.
Available Security Types
Email Security
- A one-time verification code or link is sent to your registered email address to confirm your identity.
- Ensures that you have access to both your password and your registered email account to complete a login or a transaction.
SMS Security
- A one-time passcode (OTP) is sent via text message to your registered mobile phone number.
- This is a widely used and convenient method for quick verification during login.
Authentication App
- A dedicated authenticator app on your mobile device (e.g., Google Authenticator) generates a unique, time-based one-time password (TOTP).
- This method is generally considered more secure as it does not rely on cellular network delivery.
Push Notification
- A notification is sent to your registered device via the Tradin app, allowing you to approve or deny a login or transaction attempt with a single tap.
- This method offers a seamless and secure experience, preventing phishing by displaying the login details directly in the app
