Verify your identity

In short

Send a government identity document, a document showing your address dated within three months, and a selfie. Approval usually takes a couple of minutes.

Tradin is a regulated broker. See Who regulates Tradin.

Every client must verify their account. It is a legal requirement under anti money laundering and counter terrorism financing rules, and it must be complete before your first deposit. An unverified account is restricted on deposits, withdrawals and trading.

It also protects you. Confirming identities reduces identity theft and fraudulent registrations, and it safeguards your personal information, login details and financial data from unauthorised access.

The five steps

  1. Confirm your email address. Select the link in the email Tradin sends you.
  2. Complete your personal information. Full name exactly as on your identity document, date of birth, phone number and residential address.
  3. Provide financial information. Employment status, source of funds and annual income.
  4. Answer trading experience questions. These help match you to a suitable account type.
  5. Upload your documents. Clear scans or photos, plus a selfie.

Proof of identity, one of these

  • Passport
  • Driving licence
  • Government issued identity card
  • Permanent residence permit

It must be current and not expired, and the name must match your Tradin account exactly.

Proof of address, one of these

  • A utility bill for electricity, gas or a landline
  • A bank account statement
  • Proof of residence issued by a government or notary
  • An identity card showing your address, issued by a central or state government

It should usually be less than three months old, and the name and address must match your Tradin account.

Selfie

A clear photo with your face clearly visible, matching the identity document you sent. This step prevents identity fraud.

If your documents are rejected

You will be told by email or in your Tradin account, with the reason, such as a blurred image or an expired document. Correct the problem and send it again.

Clear documents are the whole trick. Make sure everything is legible and that every detail matches your Tradin profile exactly. Correct documents get approved in minutes.
